            In the modern era is very much the development of food in the archipelago, in fact  many people who consume more unhealthy foods that come from abroad. On this occasion I will share information about traditional food that is very save the health benefits that are rarely heard by many people, this name is tiwul rice. 
            Tiwul rice is a staple food of white rice made from cassava base which is converted into cassava flour. Tiwul comes from Wonogiri, although originated from Wonogiri, other Javanese residents also know tiwul rice for daily consumption such as Blitar, Wonosobo, Gunung Kidul, etc.In the era of advanced this case is very much the development of food in the archipelago, even many people who mengkosumsi more unhealthy food coming from abroad. On this occasion I will share information about traditional food that is very save the health benefits that are rarely heard by many people, namely tiwul rice. tiwul Rice is already spread in the Java area to the archipelago. Tiwul rice color is very unique so that makes the audience becomes more curious to try it. Tiwul is a small rounded round and attached to each other to form like a lump, and the color is sometimes black, gray, brown depending on how to cook it, if the cooking is wrong it will make tiwul rice become soft or hard because the way of cooking is quite difficult, beginner. Although the color of tiwul is dark, it has  sweet taste, if we are not used to consume, our stomach will feel sore and hot. To overcome this some people serve it with white rice. 
In some tribes in Indonesia, tiwul rice is enjoyed with complementary dishes such as vegetables, cassava leaf, urap, fish, chilli, but there is also a market snacks served with young coconut and brown sugar which is often called urap tiwul. Sweet taste and combined with a delicious young coconut is perfect when in the enjoy while relaxing.
On the first tiwul rice only enjoyed by marginal people, but in modern times this tiwul rice already spread in various circles in Indonesia. To this tiwul rice is not easy like to get the white rice that we enjoy daily, we must go to a particular place like a special tiwul restaurant. The price of tiwul rice is also quite expensive, because this food has become a special food and for raw materials are increasing, and food land is increasingly narrow.
Beside from being a source of energy, this tiwul rice also has a very useful content. Tiwul rice is great for diabetics to eat, which should avoid rice as a source of energy, because the calorie content of tiwul rice is 121 cal lower than that of very high calorie white rice. Tiwul rice is also believed to treat digestive ailments because the long making process allows the starch content to have an interaction called retrogradation which means interaction between amylose fractions in starch when the process of making and producing resistant starch passes for healthy digestion.
Tiwul rice which was used only in the bottom of the bottom or the people who are less able, now tiwul rice is able to attract the attention of various circles from child to adult.
